Mirzo Ulugʻbek (1394-1449) was a famous scientist, astronomer, and ruler. He built an observatory in Samarkand where he created the "Zij-i Sultoniy" star catalog with 1018 stars. His mathematical and astronomical research greatly influenced Western and Eastern scholars
